From carefully cataloging points of interest to mapping accessible routes in the back office, this is when all our deployment efforts come to life on campus. And the start of the 2026 academic year marks an exceptional milestone for inclusive wayfinding in higher education!     ### A Stronger Presence on Lyon’s Major University Campuses Thanks to the trust of reception teams, facilities departments, and disability support services, Evelity now supports tens of thousands of students in their daily lives across France: - University Claude Bernard Lyon 1: Its three flagship campuses, La Doua, Rockefeller, and La Buire, have been equipped with Evelity for the start of this academic year, with 24 interconnected sites in total. - University Lumière Lyon 2: Following the success of the Porte des Alpes campus, the app is now available on the historic Berges du Rhône campus, covering 50,000 m² in the heart of the city. - University Jean Moulin Lyon 3: An early adopter and longstanding customer of the app. - UCLy (Université Catholique de Lyon): Navigation has been available across its three campuses in Lyon and Annecy since September 2026. - University Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris: The 38,000 m² Nation campus offers full step-by-step navigation for the second year running. - Galileo Global Education: Detailed mapping of the redesigned *Le Delta* campus, which brings together six different schools. ### ![evelity-flyers-lyon2](https://blog.evelity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/evelity-flyers-paysage-4x3-2.jpg?width=760&height=459&name=evelity-flyers-paysage-4x3-2.jpg) ### More Than 16,000 Unique Users! The greatest reward for our project teams is seeing the app widely adopted from day one. Since the back-to-university period began in mid-August, more than 16,000 unique users have used Evelity to find their way, with a record peak of 8,000 users in the week of September 7 alone. Across the campuses, more than 64,000 routes have been calculated and 14,000 step-by-step navigation sessions have been started. New students: Discovering a large, unfamiliar environment and immediately finding their classroom, student administration offices, CROUS student services, or student union (BDE). New teaching and administrative staff: Finding their bearings with confidence, without worrying about being late. Contractors and external visitors: Coming to campus for maintenance, deliveries, or events and heading straight to the right point of interest.   ### Getting the Word Out Successfully A wayfinding tool is only useful if people know about it! This summer, we worked hand in hand with university communications and student life teams to lay the groundwork: - **On social media:** Universities widely promoted the app, including Lyon 3 and Lyon 2, whose “Back-to-University Essentials Checklist” included downloading Evelity. - **Connecting directly with students:** Our teams attended open days and welcome events. Evelity was included in welcome booklets and first-year student onboarding. Disability support services also offered dedicated 30-minute, on-site introductions to the app. - **On campus walls:** Signage tailored to each university was installed, including wall plaques, display stands, and visuals with QR codes linking directly to the app stores. ![evelity-posts-instagram](https://blog.evelity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/evelity-posts-instagram-2.jpg?width=760&height=320&name=evelity-posts-instagram-2.jpg) ### Innovations That Support Students Evelity’s strength also lies in the responsiveness of its **management back office**. During this busy period, university teams were able to update their points of interest in real time for welcome events and temporary services, such as student ID card distribution and pop-up stands. And we have no intention of stopping there! Our technical teams are preparing to introduce **deep links**. In the future, students will be able to click a link directly from their online timetable to open the Evelity app and immediately start a route to their classroom!
