Evelity at the World Urban Forum: Event Accessibility Reinvented

From May 17 to 22, the city of Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted the 13th edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) . Organized by the United Nations, this premier global conference on sustainable urbanization gathered an impressive 57,000 participants from 176 countries .

With a venue spanning 43 hectares, covering both indoor spaces and the outdoor areas around the Baku Olympic Stadium, the mobility challenge was massive . How could we guarantee complete autonomy for every visitor—especially those with visual, motor, or cognitive disabilities—across such a gigantic and temporary site? That’s where Evelity stepped in!

SUCCESS STORY: Evelity X University Lyon 3

Lyon 3 Jean Moulin University, as part of the INCLUDE project (demoES France 2030), has marked a decisive turning point in its commitment to accessibility and inclusion.

In January 2023, the school chose to deploy Evelity, a solution to help with orientation and location, on its Manufacture des Tabacs campus, which is used by 28,000 students each year.

We are very pleased to announce our partnership with the Sofitel Lyon and the Accor and Accor Invest groups. Together we are exploring ways to make their hotels more accessible to people with disabilities! An important issue for 2024...

The welcoming capacity of a hotel is necessarily very strong on the human level. We wanted to focus on giving back autonomy to people with specific needs (a foreigner in a building with signage that is not in his native language, a person with motor, hearing or visual disabilities).
